I've always felt a magical essence in just looking at a painting, and fantasy stories represent the same wonderment that creating art, and admiring others' work, has always evoked in me. Going beyond my personal connection with this enchantment, I aim to craft personal worlds in my art that exude wonder—a desire to impart that feeling to others. I want the canvas I paint on to become the meeting ground for the tangible reality and the mystical, numinous realm. Even if the wonder is distilled to a singular emotion sparked by a portrait, rather than an elaborate scene, the essence remains—bridging the gap between the real and the magical.
